Oasis Online was established in October of 1997 as an Internet Service Provider in Churchill County. By 2002, the business had grown to nationwide service and begun providing high speed access. Oasis Online continues as one of the leading Internet Providers in the area.
The association between Churchill County School District District and Oasis Online began in July of 2002 when the District contracted with Oasis Online to provide High Level Network Support and Troubleshooting to the District on an hourly basis. This association developed over the years and, as changes occurred in District personnel, the Churchill County School District Board of Directors chose to outsource the Management of the District Technology Department to the Oasis Online Corporation. In August 2004, a smooth transition in management was accomplished, and Oasis Online continues to manage Churchill County School District's technology needs.
In 2007, Oasis Online also entered into a Technology Management contract with Lander County School District. Oasis Online is continuing to enjoy operating in this capacity in both school districts.

Nevada Mining Association
Nevada has a long history as a leading mineral producing state. Since the gold and silver rush in the 1850s, which inspired Nevada's statehood in 1864, to the present, Nevada has been a hotbed for mineral and metal mining.
Much has changed during the past 150 years; however, one constant has remained: mining continues to be an important part of the state's economy—especially in mining communities and counties.
While a relatively small industry—ranked 15th in state gross domestic product—mining's importance to Nevada's economic and social infrastructure can't be underestimated as the industry continues to produce the necessary minerals on which our society depends.
Nevada is one of the special geologic places on the globe where wide arrays of minerals are prevalent, such as gold, silver, copper, barite, molybdenum, clay, silica, lithium, and many more. Even geothermal water is abundant in the state and mined for energy.
Producing these important minerals requires a significant workforce. More than 14,000 people are directly employed by the Nevada mining industry. This number may not seem significant in urban Las Vegas or Reno, but these jobs exist predominantly in rural Nevada and are vital to the well-being of those communities.
When unemployment statewide nears historic levels, it is significantly lower in mining communities. Plus, those employed in mining are paid some of the highest salaries in the state, averaging almost $83,000.
While the economic impacts might be clear, there are still misunderstandings about mining in Nevada that can cloud policy and regulatory matters, not to mention public perception. The Nevada Mining Association has existed since 1952 to address that very issue. From debating policy matters in the state legislature and local governments to uniting the voice of the industry in public relations and leading the industry's efforts in the community, the work of the Nevada Mining Association can be seen in all corners of the state and in all levels of the communities.

In the early eighties, public entities throughout the U.S. faced an insurance crisis. Commercial insurance carriers began excessively raising premiums for public entities, and in some cases, exited states or cancelled coverage, leaving many Nevada municipalities without adequate, affordable insurance coverage.
In response to this crisis, The Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool (NPAIP) was formed by Nevada public entities in 1987. By pooling resources to create NPAIP, Nevada public entities discovered that they could obtain quality property casualty coverage at a reasonable cost. As an added benefit, NPAIP members also found that they could access risk management resources superior to those previously offered to smaller, rural municipalities.
NPAIP was created for the following purposes:
To fill a void in the traditional insurance marketplace, and offer affordable risk financing to its members;
To identify legislative and regulatory issues affecting public entities and to provide information to assist members in addressing such issues;
To act as a clearinghouse for the collection and dissemination of data and resources relating to risk management and to encourage and support new research for our members; and
To provide meaningful and significant education and professional support for the members, governing bodies and staffs of our members.
After successfully organizing the property-casualty pool, the members organized the Public Agency Compensation Trust (PACT) in 1996 to provide Workers Compensation coverage for its membership.
NPAIP and PACT members include counties, cities, school districts, special districts, and towns. Every member actively manages the risks encountered as a public agency. Membership is a privilege earned by effective agencies committed to sharing resources to benefit their employees and the public they serve.

The Nevada Builders Alliance is a professional organization representing the construction industry; and all affiliated sectors. Our mission is to create a positive business environment for our member companies and communities.
The Nevada Builders was established in 1966 as the Ormsby County Builders’ Association by a handful of builders looking to protect the interests of a growing industry. Throughout the years, the organization has grown and evolved several times. On the eve of our 50-year anniversary, it is time to evolve once again. With over 700 member companies representing tens of thousands of hard-working Nevadans in every corner of the state, we have grown to become the Nevada Builders Alliance.
The biggest issue facing our industry in the coming years is a skilled workforce. By educating our youth about the opportunities that exist, developing the programs necessary for them to flourish, and forming valuable collaborative partnerships, we ensure our industry’s future success.
We are pleased to announce that Nevada Builders Alliance has been selected to participate in a grant provided to JOIN, Inc. The grant will enable 60 young adults, ages 18-24 to receive critical skills training for in-demand construction jobs. This partnership with JOIN will increase our industry’s ability to respond to critical openings and access pre-screened and trained individuals to fill those openings. “WORKFORCE 60” will enroll participants from twelve rural Nevada counties and provide education, employability preparation and training in key positions identified by our members. JOIN will reimburse each participating employer 75% of the first eight (8) weeks of fulltime wages of a “WORKFORCE 60” graduate. It is our hope that every opportunity will lead to long-term employment with your company, and engage the participant in a career of his or her choice.
The Nevada Builders Alliance Women’s Council is pleased to offer scholarships to all four of Nevada’s community colleges for candidates wishing to develop or expand their education and skills in the construction field. Each scholarship has been distributed in increments of $500.00 per semester beginning in the fall of 2016.

Teachers of Tomorrow is the largest educator preparation program in the country. We recruit career changers with an average age of 32, screen them and prepare them through classroom readiness training to solve critical teacher shortages. In the fall of 2016 we were approved by the Nevada Department of Education as an Alternative Route to Licensure. Since that time we have started aggressively recruiting to help school districts ensure that every classroom has a great teacher.
We work with districts to match the candidates with open positions and then support these new teachers with mentoring and further training in the first year.
Last year we placed over 7,000 teachers in schools. We also create a more diverse teacher workforce since our enrollment is 46% non-white. We have been operating since 2004 as Texas Teachers and our program in Nevada is Nevada Teachers of Tomorrow.
Our Nevada based staff, led by Lisa Ramirez, is ready to meet with your school leaders to refer our candidates to school districts with open positions. We will send lists of qualified candidates who have completed their initial training and are eligible for their Conditional License to district human resource teams and principals. There is no cost to the district or school – the candidate only pays a small fee of $295 up front and then the remainder of the tuition is only paid when they secure a teaching position.
We were just approved this fall and a school principal in Las Vegas saw our program and asked one of his long-term substitutes, who is amazing with her students, to apply. She worked diligently over the holidays and this past week moved from being a long term sub to being the teacher of record with a conditional license. By this time next year, she will be a fully certified teacher.

Anchorman Inc. was formed in June 2012 by Thomas Giandomenico and Jeffrey Coates while they were conducting a threat assessment for a school in Dallas, TX. One of the parents at training posed the question about the best barricading device they had come across. From that conversation, the Active Crisis Tool (ACT) was conceived.
Giandomenico and Coates come across a lot of products that are developed by people with no actual real life experience in highly volatile and violent incidents. These products are developed and used without any real life situational testing. This is what sets apart the ACT Device.
Giandomenico and Coates have breached hundreds of doors throughout their careers, and understand what is needed to make a successful barricading device.
The ACT is a door barricade device created in collaboration with school safety professionals designed specifically for keeping “Active Assailants” out during lockdowns and lockouts.
