Trustees had a busy and impactful day at our annual Day at the Legislature. The day began with a morning session featuring insightful discussions with Nicole Flangas, Tom Clarks, and Isabel Graff from Governor Lombardo’s office. Trustees then attended the Floor Session, where NASB was formally recognized.
In the afternoon, NASB delivered a formal presentation to the Senate Education Committee, followed by individual meetings between many Trustees and legislators. The day concluded with a Happy Hour and a debriefing session, where participants reflected on the experience and discussed key takeaways.
While this was only the second time NASB has hosted a dedicated day with the legislature, the debrief highlighted the event’s success and the positive impact it had. As an organization, we made meaningful progress and took an important step forward. The day was highly effective in strengthening our relationships and setting the stage for a productive legislative session.
